University of Puerto Rico - BS, Mechanical Engineering , Massachusetts Institute of Technology - MS, Mechanical Engineering

I completed my undergraduate degree program from the University of Puerto Rico and recently earned my master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. As a tutor, I specialize in teaching mathematics, physics, and mechanical engineering. My background enables me to teach students in a wide range of specific math subjects, from elementary math all the way to advanced calculus. I also teach Spanish from basic to advanced levels. As an undergrad, I worked as a math tutor at the university. When I was a teaching assistant while completing my graduate program at MIT, I prepared materials for the Advanced System Dynamics and Control course. At MIT, I learned to trust my instincts when it came to learning new concepts or subjects. This is a lesson I try to impart to my own students as a tutor. I feel that it's helpful to frame mathematical or scientific concepts in real-life circumstances in order to facilitate learning. In my free time, I enjoy music, movies, piano, and soccer.
