My name is Omar Safsaf from Vienna Virginia, and I'll be attending Virginia Tech in the fall of 2016, as an engineering major. I'm 17 years of age and my specialty areas are physics and chemistry as I have taken those courses at the absolute highest high school level. My high school GPA is 4.13.
Experience
I have tutored for a long time as a volunteer tutor. I discovered my passion for tutoring when I realized I'm exceptionally skilled in conveying abstract and complex ideas. I am helping k-7 students with all subjects and high school students with physics and chemistry. I have top 10 percentile score in the latters' SAT subject tests. I've received prestigious awards for physics experiments, as I placed third on the Fairfax County's science and engineering fair. I also completed an independent study for which I calculated the expansion rate of the universe using third party data. I tutor regularly for Science National honor society and Math National honor society.

Hobbies
I participate in numerous activities within my community. I play the guitar as a hobby and often play with my fellow singers in my high school a capella group. I'm very passionate about soccer and I've been playing the sport competitively. I enjoy integrating bonding academic activities when I tutor because the more comfortable I am with the student, the better they grasp concepts.
